A colourful original vintage poster announcing an exhibition for works by Stanley Hayter in 1972.
Posters are rare despite his fame and success not many survived.
Stanley William Hayter (1901 – 1988) was an English painter and printmaker very much associated in the 1930s with Surrealism and then with Abstract Expressionism.
Printmaking was an important medium for him and he worked with such eminent contemporaries as Miro, Picasso and Kandinsky. And then with the outbreak of WW!! he moved to New York and taught and worked with Pollock, Lasansky, Rotko and many others.
